What we Treat

Our Solutions

Results-oriented solutions that will quickly get you where you need to be. If you are looking for a permanent solution to your problem, that's what we are all about. We want to be your guide in the journey to solve the problem, not mask it with modalities, drugs, or procedures. Below, are just a few of the conditions we find solutions for.

Back and Neck Pain

We specialise in getting to the root source of your back or neck pain and we’re committed to faster results, which mean a speedier return to the activities you love. We treat all kinds of problems, including sciatica, radiculopathy (nerve compression and pain), herniated disc, post-op problems, scoliosis, whiplash, and myofascial pain (tightness in muscles and/or connective tissues). Our personalised, one-on-one approach includes targeted techniques such as a comprehensive physical therapy examination to identify the source of your problem, chiropractic adjustments and remedial massage therapy, lumbar and cervico-thoracic stabilisation programs, and posture and body-mechanics training.

Headaches and Migraine

Millions of people suffer from headaches and migraines every day. Often they increasingly rely on medications to help them feel better. There is a growing body of scientific evidence that chiropractic therapy is a highly effective and safe therapy for many types of headaches such as tension, migraine, cluster and cervicogenic headaches.

Spine Rehab

Back pain can be debilitating and frustrating. Many factors can contribute to spine problems, so we take the time to figure out what’s really going on. We look at the whole body and the whole person to get to the root of your pain, and we’ll perform an in-depth movement evaluation to assess the mobility and stability of your spine and surrounding structures. Throughout your treatment plan you will learn about posture, body mechanics, prescriptive exercises, and self-treatment techniques to ensure long term success.

Shoulder Pain

We hone in on the specific source of your shoulder pain and set up a plan to fix it,successfully, quickly, and naturally. Your benefits? Improved shoulder biomechanics, less pain, and improved strength of key shoulder muscles, so you can get back on track, with improved performance, as soon as possible. Common shoulder problems we treat include rotator cuff strains and partial tears, impingement syndrome, frozen shoulder, post-op pain or motion issues, bone spurs, calcific tendonitis, glenohumeral osteoarthritis, shoulder dislocation or separation, slap tears, and chronic instability. Our personalised approach includes a comprehensive physical examination to identify the source of your problem, scapular and rotator cuff training exercises, chiropractic manual therapy and neuromuscular re-education to restore shoulder joint mechanics, and proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation.

Knee Pain

Almost every one of us will experience knee problems at some point in our lives. Our goal is to get to the source of your problem faster and to provide you with a permanent solution. We take the time to listen and, together, we’ll identify the main reason for your pain. Among our success stories are clients with patellofemoral syndrome (pain in the front of the knee), iliotibial band syndrome (pain at the outside of the knee), patellar tendonitis (runner’s knee), overuse injuries from cycling and running, hamstring strains, patellar dislocations and fractures, ligament strains and partial tears, post-op issues, and osteoarthritis. Our personalised approach includes a comprehensive physical examination to identify the source of your problem, gait analysis, chiropractic manual therapy and exercise training, myofascial release techniques, and dynamic alignment training to improve knee tracking. With measurably improved muscle strength and alignment, you’ll soon be back on your way to sport, recreation and work activities.

Post-operative Rehab

Should you consider seeing a chiropractor after orthopaedic surgery? According to the latest research the answer is a resounding yes. In addition to standard post-operative rehabilitation, chiropractic therapy can greatly assist in returning function not just to the affected area but by also improving overall biomechanics and movement patterns.

Vestibular Rehab for Dizziness and Vertigo

Dizziness and vertigo can be debilitating. Chiropractic therapy for vestibular problems can be very helpful when applied at the right time using the right technique. We have completed post graduate courses in vestibular rehab that are scientifically validated.

Postural Neurology

Exciting developments within the fields of neurology and brain research has led to the development of brain based therapies that have an effect on our movement and postural systems. From this we have been able to implement brain based movement analysis and correction strategies that allow us to understand your injury and movement issues at a higher level.

Functional Movement and Posture

At CBCM our ultimate goal is getting you moving well, not just without pain. Faulty movement patterns and poor posture are the cause of most of the injuries we see every day.
Chris has completed many postgraduate certifications including Functional Movement Screen (FMS), Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA) and Postural Neurology (CPN). This knowledge allows Chris to analyse posture and movement patterns from a unique perspective.
By combining analysis of the joint and muscle system with analysis of nervous system and brain we can understand your movement issues and limitations at a higher level than orthopaedic tests alone. From this, Chris can tailor a treatment and exercise plan for your specific needs.

Balance and Performance

Whether you are an elite athlete or a weekend warrior your ultimate goal is to perform at your best, as often as you can.
Recent research in the field of neurology has led to a better understanding of the neuroplastic abilities of our brains and nervous systems.
This research has exciting implications for all those who want to move at their best. It is now well understood that highly trained chiropractic manual therapists can improve athletic performance via specific treatments that help these neuroplastic changes to occur in the brain and nervous system.
Chiropractic manual therapy has been shown to have positive effects on important regions of the brain and nervous system that effect balance, proprioception, strength, sensorimotor integration and co-ordination.
At CBCM we are certified in techniques that focus on these outcomes to help improve your athletic performance.
